Emily has incorporated into our sessions various changes in my physical and fitness development, and her guidance and assistance were critical when I was recuperating from some lower back issues. Emily is always courteous and professional, she has extensive knowledge in physical training and Pilates and is an excellent motivator. She is rigorous and demanding but does so in a way that is encouraging instead of punitive."

"Emily's knowledge and perhaps more importantly, her ability to instruct and impart that knowledge to her clients in an approachable and clear way puts her above others. She pays attention to her clients: she noticed minute tendencies and misalignment in the ways I move my body and adjusted my movements accordingly. The fact that she is not just going through the motions but engaged with me and observant throughout every session to notice these small adjustments elevated my Pilates experience. Working with Emily brought me greater awareness and understanding about my body, posture, and areas of weakness and strength. In addition to Emily's skills and ability to instruct and teach effectively, she is a kind, generous, and welcoming person. Anyone would be lucky to be able to work with Emily! “Embolden Pilates helped me build up a strength and body awareness that I didn’t realize I was missing. As a former college basketball player, I’ve always worked to maintain my strength and mobility after my athletic career but Embolden Pilates has taken that to a new level — challenging me in new ways with flexibility, core strength, mobility work, and lengthening of my spine. Additionally, Emily’s instruction is extremely precise with such great attention to form/positioning (even during online sessions - she sees everything!). She is able to adapt each session so the workout is exactly what my body needs on that day. Embolden Pilates has become an irreplaceable part of my overall long-term health and movement that I know will continue to benefit me for years to come.

Her instructions are always delivered in a uniquely nurturing way, which motivates me to test my strength and improve my execution. She delivers precise, clear and deliberate directions during sessions. Every private session is different - no two are the same and appropriately challenging. I am surprised at the variations of the exercises she introduces which keeps me engaged and wanting more. "I've been working with Emily for over two years now. Before starting my Pilates journey, I did other forms of exercise like running, weights, HITT cardio, Zumba and even what I thought was Pilates. This form of practice, specifically Classical Pilates has truly been life changing. It will ask you to use different parts of your body that you don't normally use. It's both a physical and mental workout! With Emily as my instructor, I have the proper guidance and motivation to stay consistent with my practice. She is one of those instructors who will give you her all in your sessions. Even though she'll have you work hard, she's mindful and will always have you listen to how your body is feeling to avoid injury. Pilates is a lot of work but Emily has the ability to make it understandable and fun!"

"Working with Emily has been tremendous. I'm 46 and played sports my entire life. My body never felt this strong before. My stamina and endurance in the gym is up. My tennis game, boxing, and golf are that much better because of Pilates. Before I met Emily, I'm embarrassed to say I thought this was a dance-yoga thing for women. It's not. Now I know Pilates history and this stuff is serious! Emily is one of the best movement coaches I've ever had and you can tell she doesn't just know her stuff, she lives and breathes Pilates. Emily's tough but she's got heart. I'll be doing this until I'm an old man."

"Emily is a master teacher who is able to give personal one-on-one care and attention even during a group class. She makes movements easily adaptable to any skill level and is super responsive to my needs. I’ve taken Pilates in other studios and the service with Embolden Pilates is unmatched. I highly recommend the mat classes for beginners who are interested in learning more or the reformer classes, both are excellent. Emily will meet you where you’re at, without shame, and champion your success. It is the only workout routine that has stuck for me."
